Memories Made on the Detroit Princess Riverboat

Thanks to generous donor support, residents enjoyed a special late-summer cruise aboard the Detroit Princess Riverboat—and what a day it was!
With music playing, laughter filling the air, and residents dressed up and filling the dance floor, the cruise offered a wonderful opportunity to celebrate, connect with friends and make lasting memories.
When asked what the day meant to them, one resident summed it up perfectly: “This is my vacation.” Another enjoyed meeting residents from other Villages and making new connections.
One resident shared a particularly heartwarming response: “It gives me a reason to dress up, look good, and get out of my room!”
For older adults living on limited resources, an outing like this is about so much more than a boat ride. It’s a chance to enjoy a change of scenery, feel special, build friendships and share in the joy of music and dancing.
Best of all, 100% of this special event was made possible through donations. Thanks to the generosity of PVM Foundation donors, residents experienced a day filled with laughter, friendship, music, dancing and memories to treasure.
As the holidays approach, this cruise is a wonderful reminder that the spirit of giving makes a difference all year long. Thank you for helping create meaningful experiences for residents and sharing the Christmas spirit well beyond the holiday season.
Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a holiday season filled with joy!
